The gesha variety produced by Pablo Andres Guerrero at Hacienda El Obraje in Nariño, Colombia is one of our favorites.
This is the 4th time in 3 years that we roast this coffee! But a few months ago Pablo and the team at El Obraje won 1st place at the Cup of Excellence of Colombia 2021 with a special version of their washed gesha! This gesha variety got the highest score and also broke new records in terms of price for the green coffee at €265/kg!!!! We are thrilled to be able to share this stunning natural processed gesha from El Obraje, for next year we aim to grab both the washed one and natural ones.
As a subscriber you will in a few days get your El Obraje roasted and sent directly home to you, fully tracked. If your subscription is unpaused, this is the chance to reactivate it to make sure that you don't miss this coffee. We will only have a couple of boxes left after the production, so this is the last chance to try this amazing natural gesha.
Pablo started planting the gesha variety at El Obraje exactly 10 years ago back in 2011 and as the farm is located at an unusually high altitude at 2200 meters it can be very challenging to farm coffee. But obviously they have figured it out by now and after having roasted both the washed and the natural gesha from them, we are endlessly impressed by what they achieve year after year.
