Introducing our latest coffee release, the Mi'eessa Robe Natural 2024 crop!
Sourced from the renowned Mi'eessa Robe estate and expertly dried by Ture Waji of Sookoo Coffee, this exceptional coffee promises to bring your cup of coffee to a whole new level, pushing the boundaries of coffee from its birthplace in Ethiopia.
Grown in the lush Sukke Qutto Kebele, nestled within the Shaakiso Woreda of the Guji Zone, these beans thrive at elevations ranging from 2,000 to 2,350 meters above sea level. The Guji local landraces contribute to the distinctive flavor profile that sets this coffee apart.
What makes the Sukke Qutto Reserve truly special is its natural processing method. Each bean is carefully sun-dried, allowing the natural sugars and flavors to intensify. The result is a cup of coffee that captures the character of the Guji region, boasting vibrant notes of fruit, a hint of floral aroma, and a rich, velvety body.
At Standout Coffee, we take pride in roasting dreams, and the Sukke Qutto Reserve is a testament to our commitment to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in the world of coffee.
Taste description: Amazing vibrant berry notes, floral undertones, complex acidity and a sweet, lingering finish. The natural process gives a silky body and a uniquely complex, sweet and aromatic cup.

From the importer: We have been working with Sookoo's founder, Ture Waji, since our earliest days sourcing coffee in Ethiopia. Ture and his brother, Assefa, founded Sookoo (legally, Dambi Uddo Agro Industry) in late 2018/early 2019. In that same harvest, Osito delivered to Dambi Uddo their very first registered purchase contract.
Ever considering ways to pursue existing relationships in deeper/more meaningful ways, two years ago, we asked Ture to start considering farmers who were delivering cherry to his station in large enough volumes that we may be able to keep their cherry separate and, thus, have single farmer lots, dried by the Sookoo team. The goal was to indentify producers that would have historically delivered to Shoondhisa or Bookkisa, the two community lots Osito considers foundational to our work with Sookoo.
This year, we were fortunate enough to purchase two such lots from Sookoo, including this lot from Mi'eessa Robe.
Mi'eessa farms eight hectares that range in elevation from an incredibly high 2,000 masl to a jaw dropping 2,350 masl. He inherited his farm from his parents and has been a coffee farmer his entire life.
