Meet the Maker: Yeferson Olaya Prieto, a third-generation coffee grower, breathes life into the El Tesoro farm's coffee culture. From traditional techniques to a leap into modernity, Yeferson's journey unfolds. In 2020, he founded his own company dedicated to the production of organic coffee and unique varieties like Gesha, Pink Bourbon, Tabi, Wush Wush, and Java.
Origin: Hailing from the coffee-rich landscapes of Colombia, the Tabi variety is meticulously grown on the El Tesoro farm in the Tolima-Planadas region, at an elevation of 1800 meters above sea level, spanning 4 hectares and shaded by native trees.
Process: Manual harvesting of 100% mature growth and floats are made. After the first stage, the cherry is stored in 200 liter plastic cans for anaerobic fermentation for 200 hours. After the anaerobic fermentation, the cherry is taken to the wood canopy dryer for 15–20 days at a temperature of 30-40°.
Amount: Our specialty coffee range comes in 250-gram jars of whole beans roasted for filter or slightly edgy espresso, packed and shipped on demand for maximum freshness. These coffees hit the sweet spot between specialty coffee and competition-style coffee, with a taste profile that is both exciting and unique.

Story: Yeferson Olaya Prieto is proud to be part of the third generation of coffee growers in his family. He grew up on the El Tesoro farm, surrounded by the entire coffee-growing culture with traditional techniques. At 18, a new era begins for him when a cupping company arrives in town, thus opening a path to new opportunities. In this way, Yeferson chooses to evolve in the field, training himself in cupping and coffee processes, at the same time he was experimenting on the same farm as his father.
In 2020, he founded his own company with the help of his family where the purpose would be to dedicate himself fully to the production of organic coffee and varieties, taking the subject of coffee to another level. Little by little, the company's farms begin to have varietal trees such as: Gesha, Pink Bourbon, Tabi, Wush Wush, and Java, as well as a large amount of conventional coffee such as Caturra, Colombian and Castle.
At that moment, the need arose to create its own physical-sensory analysis laboratory, with the purpose of guaranteeing the traceability of each batch of coffee that is commercialised farming. It would also be the most effective tool to give credibility to its accompaniment in processes of other producers.
This is how Yeferson wants to ensure that his El Tesoro farm continues to produce different varieties of excellent quality, create good personal and commercial relationships, and pave the way for future generations in coffee.
